Bio: Born shortly after the Great Droid Revolution on Ossus to two Jedi Knights; Aevus and Karliah KasMelan. Nova was raised under the watchful eye of the Jedi Order and his parents. Around the age of three, the Jedi realized Nova was also a special case, being able to levitate small objects at a whim to satisfy his own budding curiosity that all children have at that age. Nova was very introvert growing up being an only child. He would rather spend time with the beasts of Ossus and wandering the forests near the Grand Library then be among his peers.
At the age of 12 he was apprenticed to Ood Bnar, an ancient Neti Jedi Master where he was taught the mysteries of the Force and what it meant to be a Jedi Knight. Ood instructed Nova on how to protect himself and others from the powers of the Dark Side, should the time ever arise for the need. Not a warrior himself, he left Nova to understand lightsaber combat from the other Jedi Masters who would be willing to teach him.
As a young man, around the age of 18 Nova was promoted to Knight status within the Order upon completing all of his trials the Jedi set forth in front of him. Roughly a year after Knighthood Nova began to have dreams of a planet covered jungles and a grand temple, which lay in ruins. He kept this knowledge to himself, thinking it wasn't worthy of noting to others.
Set on the other side of the Galaxy, Nova was helping mediate the terms of surrender of a miner riot happening on the mining planet of Apatros. It was during this time the Naddists were coming into power, and Nova was one of the Jedi Knights dispatched to help quell the Naddist Uprising.
Shortly after the Naddists were shut down, The Krath begin their descent on the Galaxy. Watching, Ulic Qel-Droma attempt to infiltrate the Krath, gave Nova pause and the seed of doubt for the Jedi and their role in the Galaxy began to creep into his mind. Month after month, watching the Krath gaining a better foothold on the Galaxy did not help squash those doubts. It was at that moment, Nova left the Jedi Order and began a self imposed exile to ponder the Force at it's entirety while wandering the Galaxy.
Nova watched from a far, anger rising at the failures of the Jedi and their Masters against this threat of the newly revived Sith under Exar Kun's and Ulic's hand and how the Krath merged with them and had the Mandalorians on their side as well. "How could the Jedi have been so blind to all this?" Nova constantly asked himself.
After Ulic got himself captured by the Jedi and the Republic, Exar knowing of Nova's reputation and anger towards the Jedi Order sought him out and was able to recruit him into the Sith Brotherhood- Just in case Ulic was to fail him. Nova sat back and watched the events unfold. It also seemed Exar's foresight was correct. Ulic slain his brother and came back from the grips of the Dark Side and with the aid of the Jedi Order began a counterattack against Exar Kun and his brotherhood.
Exar had sent word out for Nova to travel to Yavin IV, the planet from his dreams all those years ago to be by his side once the Jedi had started their assault. Exar would be forced to seal his spirit within a temple because his reinforcements never showed. Nova had played Exar for a fool.
Once the war between the Krath, Sith and Mandalorians was over Nova traveled to Yavin IV to see the aftermath. Surveying the ruins, he couldn't help but laugh to himself. What a fool Exar was, to try and take on the Republic right off the bat. Entering what used to be Exar's main Temple, he spirit of the dead Dark Lord appeared to him in a fury of anger and demanding to know why Nova never came to his aid. "You were never worthy of my aid." And with that being said, Nova set up a barrier around his mind to keep Exar and his annoyances at bay while he rummaged around the ruins of the temple, looting it of all the artifacts and objects of note that he could.
For a decade after the fall of the Sith Brotherhood, Nova spent all his time on the planet Thule learning about the Dark Side of the Force with all the artifacts and knowledge looted from Yavin IV. It was during this time that Clones and the cloning ability was discovered. Nova traveled to Ithor and ripped the knowledge of cloning from the minds of their top scientists and stole several of their technologies.
It was shortly after that, Nova discovered a water covered planet in the Unknown Regions and named it Hydra and began to build an underwater Stronghold to house his experiments and studies. Nova played with the structures of the clones and began his own work. After another decade of playing with sciences he was able to have a clone age without serious degeneration. At best the clones would last 10 years after the hell Nova would subject this bodies to.
It was during the Mandalorian Wars that Nova would finally feel the disturbance in the Force that was known as the Sith Emperor, or Darth Vitiate. Not knowing entirely what it was, but feeling the threat it represented gave Nova pause once more. At least, the good that remained within him that was known as Nova. It had been over 20 years since he had gone by that name. It was during his fall into the Dark Side he shed that name and became Darth Morduus, a Dark Lord of the Sith.
As he watched the war unfold on the Galaxy, the light within him stirred. The call to save the Galaxy was greater that what he was trying to accomplish. He now felt foolish, considering what he had said to Exar all those years ago. The Dark Side wasn't worthy of his aid, it was the people of the Galaxy that were. Now with a new sense of purpose, Morduus/Nova put his stronghold into shut down and traveled back to the planet Yavin IV once more for a ritual only that could be completed there.
Once planetside on Yavin IV, Morduus made his way to another Temple, smaller than the one Exar had built two decades ago. Making his way into the basement of the temple he was faced with a giant translucent crystal built into a pedestal. Lighting the ritual torches lined around the crystal and chanting in the dead language of the Sith before finally facing the crystal. The Crystal lit up like a beacon of Light and the light spilled over Morduus and surged through his entire being. The Darkness within him was attempting to be purified by this Wall of Light, however Exar lurked in the shadows and thrust his energy towards the ritual causing a side affect to be made. The Darkness began to gain complete sentience! Instead of it being destroyed, it took a spiritual form and vanished from the temple with an unnatural scream.
The spirit flowed through the Netherworld and attempted to return to Hydra to regain a clone body for it's own. Fortunately for Nova, he had placed barriers around his stronghold to keep spirits and ghosts out of his stronghold. Now stuck in limbo, the spirit had no where to go.
From there, Nova forsake his force powers and kept them hidden from the Galaxy and himself, took up a blaster rifle and attempted to turn the tide of the War from within. The Galaxy already had it's share of heroes, they didn't need to know who he was. For years, Nova would try to destabilize the Mandalorians as best as he could, while fighting against the very thing he swore to protect.
Towards the end of the War, a squad of Mandalorians he was leading was ambushed by Jedi and Republic squads. Instead of letting the Mandalorians die, he drew upon the Force for the first time in years and saved them him an Avalanche of rocks from crushing them all to death. Upon returning to Mandalore to face his crimes as a Force User, they locked Nova in a slab of Carbonite and placed him in a storage facility for almost three centuries.
When the Eternal Empire under Arcann's reign began it's War for the Galaxy, the storage lock up in which Nova was held in experienced a power fluctuation which caused his Carbonite case to thaw. Suddenly he awoke to a cold metal floor and alarms ringing in the distance. Fumbling to his feet and from the hibernation sickness, Nova slowly made his way out of the lock up and either by pure luck or the power of the Force he was able to find shelter in a ruined home while the Eternal Empire attempted to take over Mandalore. Roughly a day or two after recovering, Nova was able to find a blaster and steal a shuttle to get off the war torn Mandalore and jumped into Hyperspace for Hydra, not knowing where else to go.
Dropping out of Hyperspace when he arrived at Hydra, Nova took a moment and reached out with the Force towards the Galaxy. The overwhelming agony of the Galaxy sent Nova to the floor from his chair, not expecting this response from the Force. Confused and terrified Nova headed to Hydra, back to his old stronghold. As he zeroed in on it's location a Spire was rising from the water where the stronghold should of been. In an instant the alarms in the shuttle went off as two turbolaser blasts slammed into it's shields. The Spire was shooting at him! Nova quickly and fearfully put the pieces together as he realized the barriers to keep spirits must of been broken and whoever made it in, had complete control over all his old devices! Completely beaten once again, Nova hi-tailed it out of Hydra and entered Hyperspace once more to the only other place he had hoped he could go to regroup.
Nova dropped out of Hyperspace again in the orbit of Yavin IV to find it completely quiet and at peace. Little did Nova know that the battle between the Reborn Revan and the Alliance had happened here only years earlier. Nova took instant notice to the change of the planet and touched down in a old Alliance camp and began to take stock of everything that had happened in the Galaxy. Finding an old Holonet connection, he discovered he had been asleep for nearly Three Hundred years, that the Sith Empire had returned, the Emperor defeated multiple times, the Eternal Empire and how they were defeated as well. Nova's mind was swimming at all the changes and the fact of how long his forced sleep was. He found a change of clothes among all the supplies left behind by the Alliance and built a new Lightsaber from the extra items and objects left about.
Nova decided to make this place his new headquarters as he had no where else to go. Knowing at some point he would have to return to Hydra and confront whoever had entered his old Stronghold. He had fears and a gut feeling Nova knows who has claimed it for their own.
One day, a Flagship dropped out of Hyperspace in the orbit of Yavin IV and a shuttle descended down to the surface and by either pure luck or the Force once more the shuttle landed in Nova's encampment. The Emperor of the CommonWealth, Rhade and his entourage walked down the ramp and into his camp. Nova greeted them cautiously and invited them into his quarters where they sat down and talked. Rhade explained his CommonWealth and filled in the gaps that the Holonet could not. After Nova told his story to Rhade, Nova was offered a place within his CommonWealth Academy for Force Sensitives; A new form of Jedi Knights. Nova accepted the offer and was Grandmaster of the new Order for the moment until he passed the torch onto a better able Jedi Master named Eva Shalluat, one less distorted than Nova. Nova remained on the Council of this new Order, to help guide this new Generation of Force Users.
